Rivera off to fast start with victory in opening leg of national slalom series

Milo Rivera wins Marikina leg of the national series by two tenths of a second. 

MILO Rivera of Toughgear racing team won the Production class and posted the overall best time of the day in the 1st leg of the 2014 RACE Motorsports Club Shell Helix National Slalom Series recently at Riverbanks Center Marikina.

Rivera clocked 38.28 seconds, beating 2013 national champion Peewee Mendiola of Team Big Chill, who timed 38.48.

Milo’s mentor and uncle Noel Rivera took third place in 39.10 seconds, followed by Milo’s younger brother Estefano, who clocked 41.52.

Paul Santos of Team Big Chill clocked 40.60 seconds to place fifth overall and first in the Novice class.

Mike San Miguel of Blanche Racing Team had the best time of 40.64 seconds in the Front Wheel category of the event sanctioned by the Automobile Club of the Philippines.
