SLALOM driver Jowil Lazaga showed fine drifting skills to top the Pro Division of the Hyundai Lateral Drift Championship recently at the Mega Tent grounds in Libis.
The drift newcomer, driving for Team GMW, edged Drift Tandem from Pilipinas Got Talent Gio Rodriquez and Team A-toy Customs teammate Ralph Tan.
Thirty drift drivers participated in the amateur and pro divisions, with the course set up by Japan D1 Grand Prix drifter Kimihiro Obata and wife Hiromi Kajikuma.
Adrian Jonsay of Team GMW won the amateur division, with Karr Montaner of Drive Hard Crew and Patrick Hesse of Team Drift Mob taking the next two places.
Round Three of the series backed by Hyundai Genesis Coupe, Saffiro Tires, Dickies Clothing and Aguila Glass is set August 23 at the Quirino Grandstand.
