RACE car driver Dollan Briones bolstered Tuason Racing School's supremacy in Philippine Motorsports by ruling the seventh and final Leg of Philippine Autocross Championship at the Aseana Bradco St. on Macapagal Boulevard, Pasay City.
A top karter in the late 90’s, Briones did not show any rust from his layoff as he displayed the same driving precision to capture the Novice Stock B crown powered by Tuason Racing’s corporate partners Bridgestone, Standard Insurance, Coke Zero, PUMA, OMP, C!Magazine, Aguila Auto Glass, Acer, Oakley, Rota, Speedlab, Toptul, Bellevue, Karate Kid , Brembo and Go Pro
In his white Ford Focus, Briones ruled the 1.6cc to 2.0cc category with a fast 57.1 seconds clocking in the morning’s first heat.
His feat remained standing throughout the day even as other participants had the chance to beat his time in the afternoon’s second heat. Briones himself failed to at least equal his clocking but came close with a time of 57.2 on his second run.
“I’m very happy with the win although I didn’t really expect it. And I’m thankful for the big support of Tuason Racing School for paving the way for my comeback in the local racing scene,” said Briones, who is part of TRS respected pool of tuners and trainers of TRS students under the Tuason Racing School Race Career Management Program (TRS-RCMP).
