DAVID Feliciano of Team DMF Drift bagged his first leg title in the Pro Division, beating Alex Perez of Team Yellow Cab and Rad Rich Albano of Team Maxxis Tires in Round Five of the Hyundai Lateral Drift Championships recently at Aseana City on Roxas Boulevard.
It was Feliciano’s first victory in Lateral Drift since joining the series last year.
Series leader Gio Rodriguez of Team Atoy Custom failed to make it to the final four but remained on top in this overall Pro-driver Championship with 60 points.
Mark Bernardo of Team GMW Saffiro Tires edged Luis Gono of Team Autoplus Motul in the amateur division. It was the second win this year for Bernardo, who leads the overall amateur championship.
The organizers, drivers, and car clubs also turned the races into a fundraising event and accepted donations for the Yolanda typhoon victims. Donations were given to GMA7 through celebrity drifter Ryan Agoncillo.
