BIANCA Bustamante will be racing in the sixth round of the ROKiT F4 British Championship at Circuit Zandvoort this weekend, competing under current championship leader Hitech Grand Prix.
The McLaren Development driver follows in the footsteps of fellow Filipino racer Eduardo Coseteng, who also raced under Hitech Grand Prix in 2022.
Bustamante, 19, will be making her debut in the championship as she looks to further her experience in formula machinery while chasing her dream of making it to Formula 1.
Tougher challenge for Bianca
Unlike her main competition F1 Academy, the F4 British Championship features a wide array of drivers — both male and female — and presents a tougher challenge for the Filipina racer.
Though not unfamiliar with Circuit Zandvoort, having raced there last year, she is looking forward to challenging herself with the tougher competition on the grid.
“Though I raced at Circuit Zandvoort last year, it will be my first time in the championship where the level of competition is intense and will have some of the best male and female driver’s from around the globe.” said Bustamante.
Under Hitech, Bustamante will be participating in several practice sessions, one qualifying session, and a total of three sprint races.
Bustamante will be taking in the experience as well as the invaluable track time at Zandvoort in preparation for Round 5 of the F1 Academy season on the same track by the end of August.

Currently, Bustamante is P5 in the Driver’s Championship standings with 57 points. She will hope to pull away and even leapfrog her rivals when Round 5 rolls around.
Joining Bustamante in the F4 British Championship are fellow F1 Academy drivers Abbi Pulling and Chloe Chong.
The Laguna native previously had experience in other F4 Championships, namely the UAE, Italian, and Southeast Asian editions of the F4 Championships.
