FILIPINA racer Bianca Bustamante's meteoric rise in motorsport reached a new high as she joins the all-female F1 Academy with elite Italian racing team PREMA.

The 18-year-old Laguna native will be among the 15 debutants of Formula 1's newest racing series, which aims to "prepare young female drivers for elite competition."

"The F1 Academy is an amazing initiative for rising female talent in motorsports and I am looking forward to see what I can achieve with PREMA," Bustamante said.
