FILIPINA racer Bianca Bustamante's meteoric rise in motorsport reached a new high as she joins the all-female F1 Academy with elite Italian racing team PREMA.
The 18-year-old Laguna native will be among the 15 debutants of Formula 1's newest racing series, which aims to "prepare young female drivers for elite competition."

Champion team principal Rene Rosin said the Filipino-American rising star is a welcome addition to their esteemed driver stable.
“I think [Bianca] will be an outstanding fit right from the start, especially considering what she was able to achieve in her first experiences, and we are determined to provide her with our best support."
Home to F1 stars Charles Leclerc and Guanyu Zhou, PREMA recently added Bustamante to its driver lineup in the ongoing 2023 F4 UAE Championship.
Bustamante also competed in the 2022 W Series as the top performing rookie, with a career-best 9th place finish in the Miami season opener.
The F1 Academy will kick off its debut season later this year.
