ONE Atomweight MMA World Champion Denice "The Menace" Zamboanga believes it's time for ONE Championship to return to the Philippines, especially with the rise of MMA in the country.
Speaking to the Bangkok Post, Zamboanga asked the promotion to consider Mall of Asia Arena in planning their future events, particularly with two undisputed World Champions in the country.

Joshua "The Passion" Pacio recently unified the ONE Strawweight MMA World Title when he beat Jarred "The Monkey God" Brooks in their trilogy bout, marking the first time since the pandemic era when the country had two World Champions in the promotion.
"It's been the first time that we have both a female and male champion at the same time – can we do that? ONE Championship in Manila again?" Zamboanga asked.
"The Filipino fans are crazy, they're different. I hate requesting because I don't think I have the position to do so. But hopefully ONE Championship sees this and they make an event in the Philippines.
"Because a lot of Filipinos are asking when the event in Manila is going to happen. They are literally asking me every time they see me. They really want to see me fight here."
If that happens, she already has a challenger in mind.
Given that it will take some time before former champion Stamp Fairtex recovers, Zamboanga is eyeing a showdown with successful Japanese grappler Ayaka Miura.
Zamboanga believes Miura deserves the shot because of her activity, having won four straight bouts in the atomweight division, including three by submissions.
"Ayaka Miura is the most active in our division," Zamboanga said.
"She has won every single match she's had recently. So I think she deserves more to fight with the champion.
"I think I will do everything, so she doesn't have the distance to do her favorite submission, the Ayaka Lock. I will do everything to defend that."
