THE most wonderful time of the year for local wrestling fans has once again arrived as the Philippine Wrestling Revolution holds the third annual 'Wrevolution X' on Sunday at the Unilab Bayanihan Center in Pasig City.
The PWR is all set for its biggest event of the year, with its two top championships on the line, and one more division debuting in the annual wrestling festivity.
"Wrevolution X is the most exciting time of the year for the PWR family. It's what we work towards all year long," said PWR general manager Stan Sy, who broke character as he talked to SPIN.ph.
"We do what we do throughout the year to build towards making Wrevolution X the biggest show possible," he added.
The self-proclaimed ‘Wrestling Lord and Savior’ John Sebastian will be putting his PWR Championship on the line when he takes on Chris Panzer in the main event of the night.
Panzer has struggled to get himself over the top in big matches in the past, but that all changed when he won the 2017 Path of Gold tournament early this year to get TO the biggest stage of Philippine wrestling.
"It's a rematch from last year. Except this time, it's for the PWR championship," Sy continued.
"This has been one year in the making and I can't wait to see how this plays out."
Peter Versoza defends his title against Sandata and either Ralph Ibamayashi or Chino Guinto in a three-way match.
Ibamayashi and Guinto will be competing early in the event for the right to join the co-main event of the evening.
History will also be made as the PWR will be holding its first-ever women's match between Crystal and Robynn.
The PWR tag titles will also make its debut, as Fighters 4 Hire, Deadly Sinns and the Yolo Twins compete for the right to be named the inaugural PWR champions.
Tickets are priced at P400 at the venue but fans can get it at P350 should they avail early bird tickets and barkada bundles at Kramer: Toy Warden, The Appraisery, Wingman, and Pauline's Printing.
