Burmese ONE champion Aung La N Sang tests positive for COVID-19

TWO-division champion Aung La N Sang has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Burmese titlist, who holds both the ONE middleweight and light heavyweight world championships, bared the unfortunate news on his Instagram account on Friday.

"I got tested for COVID-19 on Monday and the result came back today and I am positive," he said.

"So my family and I will be quarantining ourselves for the next 14 days. I had a slight fever, congestion, body ache and fatigue on the first two days. cBesides that, I am blessed that my whole family is doing well. We are really in this together and we will get over this."

    N Sang, 35, is currently based in Fort Lauderdale in Florida, which has recorded 169,000 cases as of press time.

    Florida has the fifth-highest cases in the United States, trailing only New York, California, Texas, and New Jersey.

    N Sang, nicknamed "The Burmese Python," last fought in October 2019 when he defended his light heavyweight title at ONE: Century Part 2 in Tokyo by knocking out ONE heavyweight world Champion Brandon Vera in the second round.
