Despite notable departures from the team, Sangiao finds encouragement in the emergence of fresh talent.

Fighters like Carlo Von “The Bull” Bumina-ang and Carlos “Limitless” Alvarez have joined the ranks, showcasing their skills and contributing to the team's resilience.
Bumina-ang's undefeated record in three ONE Championship fights, including a rapid 23-second knockout, exemplifies the new blood's impact.
Sangiao sees the changes as a blessing in disguise, providing clear paths and goals for athletes who previously faced limited opportunities.
“We took a positive turn from what many considered a downfall and dark time for the team,” Sangiao remarked, emphasizing the team's ability to adapt and thrive in the face of challenges.
The departure of key fighters, including former world champions Eduard “Landslide” Folayang and Joshua “The Passion” Pacio, tested Team Lakay's resilience.
Sangiao acknowledges the tough test that the team endured but expresses satisfaction in their ability to recover and regroup. He underscores the strength of a focused and determined team, emphasizing quality over quantity in their approach.
