STEPHEN Loman retained his the Brave bantamweight championship with a technical knockout win over Elias Boudegzdame in the main event of Brave 22: Storm of Warriors on Friday night at Mall of Asia Arena.
The 27-year-old leaned on his striking prowess to humble his Algerian challenger as the referee stopped the match at the 4:59 mark of the fourth round.
It was Loman's third successful title defense as the Team Lakay fighter improved to 13-2 and stretched his winning run to seven straight fights.
Boudegzdame, meanwhile, dropped to 15-5.
Five other Filipinos came out triumphant in the promotion's first ever staging in the country.
Jeremy Pacatiw forced Marc Alcoba to tap out with an armbar to come away with a third-round submission win, while Rolando Dy scored a first round knockout victory over Pakistani opponent Mehmosh Raza in the main card.
In the prelims, Team Lakay bantamweight Harold Banario also submitted Ariel Oliveros with a kneebar in the first round, Jayson Margallo edged Rex de Lara via unanimous decision in their bantamweight bout, and Jomar Pa-ac outlasted Indian rival Satya Behuria via unanimous decision.
