JHANLO Mark Sangiao believes they have Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg all figured out ahead of their bout next month.
The 22-year-old rising star out of Team Lakay targets a rebound win when he faces the hard-hitting Zoltsetseg in a bantamweight MMA bout at ONE Fight Night 33 on July 12 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
It's going to be a classic striker-versus-grappler matchup when the two fighters meet in The Land of Smiles. But surprisingly, it's not the Team Lakay fighter who wants to keep this fight standing.
With five of his six wins coming by way of submission – and his lone TKO win even coming from ground and pound – expect Sangiao to try and overpower his opponent in the grappling exchanges.
And he believes they've already done the necessary work in making sure his strengths shine in the bout.
"Yeah, most likely we're going to be mixing it up, but it all boils down to my gameplan. I think we're formulating a gameplan where we're eliminating the risks of him getting a knockout altogether," he said.
"But of course, I'm not taking away my chances of knocking him out as well."

His confidence even in striking emanates from the fact he's working with some of the best strikers the Philippines has to offer when it comes to MMA.
He's still with Team Lakay, after all, a squad that prides itself on producing some of the heaviest and deadliest strikers on the planet.
"If I'm going to be honest with you, I train with better strikers and fighters who hit heavier than him here in Team Lakay," Sangiao said.
"You look at who I'm training with, I'm working with ‘The Bull,’ Carlo Bumina-ang. I'm working with Wushu World Champion Jean Claude Saclag, one of the most explosive strikers in the promotion, so I'm prepared for his striking."
