RONDA Rousey’s mother spoke out about coach Edmond Tarverdyan, issuing a warning about going to the club of the coach she described as a “bad person” and “terrible coach.”

AnnMaria DeMars said in an interview with LatiNation that Rousey has kept training at Glendale Fighting Club under Tarverdyan only because she is superstitious. The UFC women’s bantamweight champion is unbeaten in 12 matches.

“He’s a bad person and people should not go there,” DeMars said. “And if he wants to sue me, that’s my honest opinion.”

“I think it’s bad that he uses her to lure people in.”

Rousey started working with Tarverdyan in 2010 and DeMars stressed that her daughter has been winning before entering the camp and the coach did not focus on her training.

“She was one of the top athletes in the world when she walked in there and he wouldn’t even give her the time of day for months,” DeMars said.

“Somebody like that is a terrible coach.”

“I think she stays there, because it’s like somebody pitches a no-hitter when they’re wearing red underwear and they wear that red underwear every day,” DeMars said.

“I think it’s superstition and I would caution anybody from going there.”
