RONDA Rousey took to Twitter to speak publicly thank her supporters after the shock loss to Holly Holm, vowing to be back although she says she needs a little time off.
The 28-year-old Rousey had to skip the post-fight media conference and was brought to a hospital to receive treatment for concussion and facial injuries after following a second-round knockout loss in UFC 193.
A day after the defeat, her first after 12 dominating victories, Rousey vowed to be back.
Long-time rival Miesha Tate was pleased to see Rousey handed her first defeat and had an expletive-laden video message taken down by video hosting sites.
Tate lost to Rousey in UFC 168.
“I’m (expletive) stoked. (Expletive) Ronda Rouse. (Expletive) her. Nobody has the right to beat you? Well, you just got beat, b***h. I’m proud of Holly. She had a perfect, flawless game plan,” said Tate in an interview, the video of which was later taken down on YouTube but was already picked up by several MMA and sports websites.
