ROLANDO Dy lost his third bout in the UFC, but he’s getting much more than the agreed share of the fight purse.
The son of boxing great Rolando Navarrete got stopped by Shane Young by TKO in the second round, but the fight was picked Fight of the Night in UFC Singapore on Saturday night.
The two men were given US$50,000 each (around P2.6 million) alongside Ovince St. Preux and Tyson Pedro who also put up an amazing fight.
The 24-year old Young wore down Dy on the feet and the ground before unleashing a furious second round assault.
With the Filipino blooded, Young delivered a short elbow to the chin before pouncing on his staggered foe, forcing the referee to stop the bout.
Dy dropped to 9-7 and 1-3 in the UFC.
