ROBIN Catalan scored a stunning knockout victory over Gustavo Balart in the undercard of ONE: Moments of Fate on Friday at Mall of Asia Arena.
The Ilonggo bet connected on a thunderous right head kick that landed square on his Cuban foe's temple, ending the match at the 4:43 mark of the second round.
"Yun talaga ang plano ko, pero di ko inexpect na mangyari yung head kick," said the victorious Catalan. "Nagpe-fake ako sa baba tapos naka-guard siya, doon ako nag-head kick."
Catalan hiked his record to 10-6 after an impressive performance where he was able to weather the grappling game of Balart in the first round.
Balart fell to an 8-4 record.
