THE highly-anticipated clash between Conor McGregor and Rafael dos Anjos in UFC 196 is not bound to take place after the Brazilian reportedly withdrew from the fight due to an injury.
In a report on Tuesday, MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani said that “according to multiple sources, dos Anjos broken a foot late last week, forcing him to pull out of the lightweight title fight against McGregor."
Dos Anjos, the current lightweight champion, was scheduled to take on McGregor on March 5 in Las Vegas in what was supposed to be McGregor’s chance to become the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles from two different weight classes.
