Islay Bomogan and Philip Delarmino end up with three gold medals.

THE Philippine muay team bagged three gold, one silver and two bronze medals in the 2021 International Federation of Muaythai Associations World Championship in Bangkok.

Phillip Delarmino and Islay Bomogao topped their events as the Filipinos placed 18th in the rankings with eight points.

Delarmino won the men’s 57kg elite combat competition, and teamed up with Bomogao to also take the gold in the mai muaythai category.

Bomogao also emerged victorious in the waikru competition senior female category while also winning a bronze medal in the women’s 45 kg division.

Aldrich Toralba captured the lone silver in the waikru senior male category, as Rudzma Abubakar grabbed the bronze in the men’s 48 kg division.
