IT will be a gold rush on 30 October when ONE Championship holds ONE: INSIDE THE MATRIX – easily the promotion’s biggest card of the year. Four World Titles will be at stake during the event, which will be headlined by two-division World Champion Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang – who defends his ONE Middleweight World Title that night – and Reinier “The Dutch Knight” De Ridder.
The last time Aung La N Sang (26-10) competed, it was around this time last year. He stopped Brandon “The Truth” Vera in the second round of their clash for the ONE Light Heavyweight World Title at ONE: CENTURY II.

Since then, “The Burmese Python” has been on the lookout for worthy challengers, and that is where De Ridder (12-0) comes in.
De Ridder has been outstanding in ONE Championship, and many expected him to be next in line for Aung La N Sang’s World Title. The opportunity came when he outpointed five-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion Leandro “Wolf” Ataides in February, giving him the opportunity of a lifetime.
In the co-main event, it will be a battle between two of the promotion’s brightest young stars as ONE Lightweight World Champion Christian “The Warrior” Lee defends his strap against unbeaten Iuri Lapicus.
Lee (13-3) had an unforgettable stretch in 2019. He won his first World Title when he finished the legendary Shinya “Tobikan Judan” Aoki before winning the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix Championship by beating dangerous Saygid Guseyn “Dagi” Arslanaliev.
Now he has to hurdle the tough Lapicus (14-0), who has been nothing short of devastating. He holds a TKO win over Shannon “OneShin” Wiratchai and a 67-second submission win over Marat “Cobra” Gafurov.
ONE Featherweight World Champion Martin “The Situ-Asian” Nguyen will also defend his strap when he takes on third-ranked Thanh Le in what is expected to be a battle between two knockout artists.
Nguyen (13-3) and Le (11-2) have a combined 19 wins via KO/TKO between them, making this the potential show stealer of the night.
Wrapping up the night of World Title bouts is a rematch between ONE Women’s Strawweight World Champion “The Panda” Xiong Jing Nan and Tiffany “No Chill” Teo.
The pair faced each other in 2018, with Xiong (14-2) coming away with a fourth-round TKO over Teo (9-1). Now better than ever after two convincing wins over Michelle Nicolini and Ayaka Miura, the Singaporean hopes to even the score with the Chinese sensation.
