LITO "Thunder Kid" Adiwang initially hoped to be the opening act at ONE Friday Fights 46: Tawanchai vs. Superbon on December 22, but he's content to be a spectator and watch the event as a fan.

Adiwang's desire was fueled by the much-anticipated showdown between ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai and former kickboxing king Superbon Singha Mawynn, which headlines ONE Championship's year-end event at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Adiwang watching from home

Having experienced a highly active year with two fights within six weeks of his return, Adiwang was prepared to step in and compete if an opportunity arose. However, the event features an all-striking card, and Adiwang is at ease watching the action from the comfort of his home in the chilly mountains of Baguio City.

"Though I didn't get my wish to compete for this card, I'm still very excited. I've waited for this for a long time," Adiwang expressed.

While acknowledging the fight's unpredictable nature due to the high skill levels of both fighters, Adiwang believes that Tawanchai holds the advantage. The rule set favors Tawanchai, who has been consistently competing in Muay Thai in ONE, whereas Superbon has primarily focused on kickboxing in recent years.

"Both fighters are at the peak of their prime, but I'll give an edge to Tawanchai," Adiwang stated.

Why Adiwang picks Tawanchai

Beyond the rule set advantage, Adiwang sees a quality in Tawanchai that could lead to a significant victory – composure in challenging situations. Tawanchai has demonstrated poise and calmness when facing adversity, as evidenced in his recent match where Jo Nattawut tested him to his limits.

"He's more fluent. When the pressure comes, he's more relaxed, more calm. We know that both fighters have knockout power. I believe Tawanchai, his calmness, his sharpness, and his focus, that's what will give him the win," Adiwang concluded.
