GEJE Eustaquio showed why he's a former ONE flyweight world champion, holding off Song Min Jong to score the unanimous decision victory at ONE: Inside The Matrix III on Friday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The 31-year-old was methodical in his attack, picking his Korean foe apart as he banked on his striking, Team Lakay's bread and butter, to earn the nod of the judges.
However, hard times continued for Kevin Belingon as he suffered a second-round knockout defeat to John Lineker in the main event of the night.
The Brazilian truly showcased his hands of stone, connecting with a killer body shot to curl the former ONE Bantamweight World Champion at the 1:16 mark of the second round in a big statement in the division.
Eustaquio's aggression was on point as he relentlessly came forward and connected with his pinpoint hooks and downward elbows to cruise to the easy win.
Song tried to mount a late fightback as he attempted a standing triangle choke in the third round. But Eustaquio showed an improved ground game, wiggling out of the submission hold and attempting a kneebar to regain control.

It was an impressive performance as Eustaquio improved to 14-8 and boosted his chances of another title shot in the flyweight division.
"It feels awesome," he said. 'We were looking forward to a submission, but things went wrong in the end."
He also followed up his impressive third round knockout of Toni Tauru at ONE: Masters of Fate in November last year in Manila.
Song, on the other hand, fell to 11-7 in this 64kg catchweight bout.
Belingon's worst fears came true as the dangerous Lineker punished him with heavy blows and controlled the duel to humble the Team Lakay contender, who dropped to 20-8.
"Belingon is a very strong opponent, but I trained highly to be here," said Lineker, who was quick to call out defending champion Bibiano Fernandes.
"I want to be champion. This is the reason I came here, for the knockout. I want the champion. Hey Bibiano Fernandes, I’m coming for you baby!"
Lineker improved to 33-9 as he's expected to advance in the promotion's bantamweight rankings.
