TWO Filipino fighters hope to make their mark on Sunday as try to bring pride to the Philippines when they see action in separate Ultimate Fighting Championship events.
Mark Muñoz appears in the main event of a UFC: Fight Night in Berlin, Germany where he takes on Gegard Mousasio of Iran, hoping to regain his status as a middleweight contender.
Mark Eddiva, on the other hand, hopes to sustain his young, promising UFC career as he collides with Kevin Souza in the opponent’s turf in Sao Paolo, Brazil in another UFC Fight Night event.
Muñoz is coming off two losses in his last three fights, the latest a first-round knockout against Lyoto Machida last October, while Eddiva is fresh from his UFC debut last March when he scored a unanimous-decision win over Jumabieke Tuerxun.
Mousasi is a veteran of over 30 fights and is also eager to get back on the winning track after a loss also to Machida last February.
Souza, meanwhile, is on an eight-fight winning streak and is aiming to hand Eddiva his first loss.
