MARK Eddiva looks to make some adjustments in training as he prepares for replacement opponent Levan Makashvili in UFC Fight Night Manila on May 16 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Eddiva’s opponent Alex White suffering an undisclosed injury, the Filipino has a little over two weeks to study his new rival in the maiden staging of the Ultimate Fighting Championship in the Philippines.

The 29-year-old Eddiva, a former Asian Games wushu bronze medalist who split his first two fights in the UFC, is expected to have his hands full in his featherweight match against Makashivili.

The 26-year-old American is making his UFC debut after winning in all but one of his seven fights in minor promotions.

Li Jingliang will also have a new opponent in US-born Dhiego Lima, who replaced Roger Zapata.

Frankie Edgar faces Urijah Faber in the main bout, while Mark Muñoz banners the four Filipinos seeing action in the card as he faces Luke Barnatt of England.
