RED-HOT ONE Championship MMA strawweight Lito “Thunder Kid” Adiwang is ready to take the next step of his career with a fight booked for 2025.
Adiwang returns to action when he battles #5-ranked strawweight Keito Yamakita at ONE Fight Night 28 on February 8 inside Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, in a fight that might catapult him back into the division’s top five.
The 31-year-old spitfire promises to give his fans, and the Philippines, a belated New Year’s present by putting on a show.
“To my fans and supporters, Happy New Year! And I promise to make it even happier by announcing my return in the ring this February 8,” Adiwang said.
“My new year has been silent cause I am saving all the fireworks [for] fight day, so don’t miss it,” he added.
The Baguio City native spent most of his holidays at Soma MMA in Bali, only heading back to the Philippines to celebrate Christmas before returning to Bali on the 27th to restart his training.
Adiwang’s focus for this fight has been tremendous, knowing the implications for him and how tough this upcoming clash will be against Yamakita.
“He’s a grinder, that’s why I’m truly preparing for this fight,” he continued.
A win here would give Adiwang his fourth straight victory in the promotion since returning from an ACL tear late in 2023. It would also get him closer to a long-awaited World Title shot.

On the same day, “Thunder Kid” joins his good friend and former teammate Jeremy “The Juggernaut” Pacatiw as the Lions Nation MMA standout likewise looks to add to his winning streak.
Pacatiw takes on Ibrahim Dauev in a crucial bantamweight MMA bout that could also send “The Juggernaut” into the divisional rankings.
