WHILE Khabib Nurmagomedov awaits the result of the investigation of the Nevada State Athletic Commission on the post-fight brawl in UFC 229 against Conor McGregor, the Russian champion faces a more severe punishment from his father.
Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov said on Russian television station RenTV that he was disappointed to see his son set off a fight with men from McGregor's camp at ringside with women nearby.
Khabib stopped McGregor with a rear-naked choke in the fourth round, then climbed over the cage and chased a cornerman of the Irish brawler.
“I will be very hard on this. I warned him,” Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov said in Russian.
“For me, discipline comes first.”
“You do whatever you want in the octagon but outside this is the border of civilians where there are children, women and strangers.”
Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov was also denied a visa when he planned to see UFC 209 last year when Khabib took on Tony Ferguson.
