KEVIN Belingon begins his road back to contention as he headlines ONE: Inside The Matrix III on Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The former ONE Bantamweight World Champion steps into the cage against Brazilian foe John Lineker as they headline the latest Singapore card.
Belingon (20-7) has been inactive since failing in his championship challenge against Bibiano Fernandes at ONE: Century Part 2 in Tokyo back in October 2019.
What better way for him to reaffirm his claim on another shot at the belt than a win over Lineker (32-9), who beat Muin Gafurov on his ONE debut in October last year.
Belingon is just one of the three Team Lakay bets returning to action in the said card.
Former ONE Flyweight World Champion Geje Eustaquio (13-8) takes on Korean opponent Song Min Jong (11-7) in a 64-kg catchweight bout.
Eustaquio is raring to stretch his win streak after knocking out Toni Tauru at ONE: Masters of Fate in November last year in Manila.
Rising strawweight star Lito Adiwang (11-2) also gets a tough challenge against Japanese contender Hiroba Minowa (11-2).
Adiwang, the winner of ONE Warrior Series, is on a seven-bout win streak, with his latest victim being Pongsiri Mitsatit as the Thai suffered a first round submission loss after tapping out to the kimura at ONE: Fire and Fury last January.
