WHILE Jeremy “The Jaguar” Miado has been going through a rough stretch, he appreciates the vote of confidence he’s still getting from ONE Championship.
And so, for his next fight, he promises to not only end his three-bout losing skid, but also to put on a show.
Miado takes on No. 4-ranked strawweight contender Hiroba Minowa at ONE Fight Night 23 on July 6 inside Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand in a must-win match.

“I’m grateful to ONE for the trust. Even though I’ve lost my previous three fights, they still give me a chance to compete. And not just compete, but go at it against a ranked fighter,” he said.
“This is my opportunity to show ONE that I still belong here.”
Where Miado's confidence comes from
The Filipino MMA star is excited to step back into the ring not just because he’s raring to return to the win column, but also because of the amount of time he’s had to prepare.
Unlike in his last fight against Keito Yamakita where he tapped in the first round, Miado gets the benefit of a longer training camp this time around against another Japanese opponent.
“It’s nice to have this kind of training camp for such a big fight. I’m excited. This is such a big opportunity for me,” he said.
"I just focused on training and rectifying my mistakes from my last fight. I’m working on proper positioning on the ground, the right escapes, and the things that I need to do to avoid suffering the same fate.”
Now in a better headspace, "The Jaguar" is primed for a huge comeback victory. He definitely won’t be lacking any motivation, of course, as he’s treating the fight as a win-or-go-home moment.
“We’re talking about my career here. That’s what this fight means for me. I’m gonna give it my all, you’re gonna see it all. I’m not going to lose here," he said.
