JENEL Lausa hit a huge bump in his quest to reach the top, getting dominated by Magomed Bibulatov in UFC 210 on Saturday in New York (Sunday, Manilal time).
Judges scored it 29-26, 29-26, 29-26 for Bibulatov, as his ground game proved to be too much for the Filipino slugger.
The 28 year old Filipino never really got the chance to get it going as Bibulatov even caught him low twice, the second one leading to a point deduction after an inside leg kick caught Lausa right in the groin.
In round three Bibulatov secured an early takedown, then spent most of the time on top of Lausa.
Bibulatov even got to full mount halfway through the round and just rained down punches from all positions to secure a convincing victory in his UFC debut and stay unbeaten at 14-0.
Lausa dropped to 7-3.
Daniel Cormier retained the UFC Light Heavyweight title by submitting Anthony Johnson with a rear naked choke in the second round of the main event.
