JENEL Lausa's return fight in Brave CF 47: Asian Domination will now be against Kyrgyzstan's Ryskulbek Ibraimov on Thursday in Bahrain.
It's a short notice change as the Filipino fighter's previously announced foe Rahmatullah Yousufzai has withdrawn from the flyweight bout.
Lausa is expected to have his hands full against Ibraimov, a 29-year-old grappler who holds an 18-8 record.
The Kyrgyz fighter is on an eight-fight win streak, with his last victory coming in February last year, a unanimous decision win over Sultan Zholdoshbek.
This will also be Ibraimov's promotional debut in Brave CF, after his initial bout against Kazakh Asu Almabaev was scrapped.
Lausa, 32 and holds a 7-5 record, is stepping back to the cage three years since his last fight in the UFC and is seeking to snap a three-fight skid.
His move to Brave CF might just be the career reboot he is looking for, especially after dabbling in professional boxing where he went 10-0-1 and last scored a fifth-round win over Indonesian bantamweight Carlos Lopez for the Global Boxing Organization Asia-Pacific Super Featherweight Championship.
