Geje Eustaquio back in title hunt after beating Korean in ONE Singapore card

Geje Eustaquio back in title hunt after beating Korean Kim Kyu Sung in ONE Singapore
    May 17, 2019

FORMER ONE flyweight champion Geje Eustaquio got back on his feet and outlasted Kim Kyu Sung via unanimous decision on Friday in ONE: Enter The Dragon at Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The Team Lakay bet was relentless against his Korean foe despite the six-inch height disadvantage as he banked on his signature striking skills.

Careful not to leave the outcome in doubt, Eustaquio scored a massive takedown on Kim in the final round to put away his 12th career win against eight losses in the Flyweight Grand Prix alternate bout.

However, the Igorot warrior was dissatisfied with his performance in the Singapore fightcard.

"I’m not 100-percent satisfied with my performance," he said. "I’m looking forward to get better and I’m willing to go back to the drawing board and be a better athlete."

    Kim fell to 9-3.

Earlier, Riki Corminal (4-5) lost via submission to Rahul Raju (6-4), tapping out in the first round after getting caught in a rear-naked choke.
