EDUARD Folayang goes for his 13th win when he battles American Lowen Tynanes in the featured match of Universal Reality Combat Championship 22 on Dec. 1 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

Long considered as the face of the country’s biggest MMA promotion backed by Colt 45, the 27-year-old pride of Baguio is coming off an impressive win over Swiss-Japanese Felipe Enomoto in One FC 5 in Singapore two months back.

That win was redemption for Folayang, who absorbed a shock loss to Ole Laursen in One FC 3 last May also in Singapore.

The undisputed welterweight champion will lock horns with the dangerous Tynames, a lightweight campaigner, in the “Superfight” of the 10-fight affair dubbed `Dekada’ where the multi-titled wushu specialist is eager to prove that’s he still on top his game.

Prior to his loss to Laursen, Folayang strung up six wins highlighted by his submission victory over Wadson Teixiera in Cebu early this year.

URCC founder and president Alvin Aguilar expects the fight to go down the wire as Tynanes is a grappler of good note.

“It’s going to be a close call, both are excellent fighters, they can grapple and throw bombs,” said Aguilar. “So expect a fast and furious action.”

As it celebrates its 10th year anniversary, URCC will also showcase some of the rising stars in the 10-fight event presented by Colt 45 and sponsored by Xplay, Anzahl, Solar Sports, Chris Sports, VRP Medical Center.

“We’re not only going to showcase the already household names but also several rising stars,” added Aguilar.

Also featured in the event is Eric Kelly of Yawyan Ardigma who will be fighting Brad Terrey of Phuket Top Team in the featherweight tussle. Tickets are now available at SM Tickets (470-2222). Action starts at 8 p.m.

Two championship fights, including the showdown between Jessie Raffols of D’Elements and Baguio Top Team’s Keiff Mangusan in the bantamweight also await MMA fans.
