MARK Muñoz, regarded as the country’s top mixed martial artist, is set for another homecoming this Friday for a series of wrestling clinics, public training sessions, and appearances on various television shows.
This will be the second visit to the Philippines in less than two years for the 35-year-old Filipino-American, a top middleweight contender in the United Fighting Championship (UFC).
Muñoz will be conducting clinics at select universities and fitness venues, and talks more about his life on ABS-CBN shows ‘Bandila’ and ‘It’s Showtime’.
Dubbed "The Filipino Wrecking Machine", Muñoz is also set to appear in a training session at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on March 10 at 3 p.m.
The event is made possible by Balls (SkyCable Ch. 34 & Destiny Cable ch. 36), which previously brought to the country other premier UFC fighters such as future Hall of Famer BJ “The Prodigy” Penn, former light heavyweight champion and UFC Hall of Famer Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell, current UFC Welterweight champion Georges "Rush" St-Pierre, and Fil-American Brandon “The Truth” Vera.
Munoz's four-fight winning streak was snapped last July by Chris Weidman via knockout.
