EDUARD Folayang seeks to reclaim his ONE lightweight championship as he headlines ONE: Conquest of Champions on November 23 at Mall of Asia Arena.
Folayang (20-6) battles Singaporean bet Amir Khan (11-3) in the main event of the Manila fightcard, with the winner taking home the recently-vacated lightweight crown.
The promotion announced the news on Monday.
Folayang, 34, lost the title last November in his second title defense to ONE featherweight champion Martin Nguyen, who posted a second-round knockout win.
Nguyen, though, had to vacate the belt last week after suffering a knee injury.
Since the loss, Folayang has been on a road to redemption, scoring a pair of unanimous decision victories over Kharun Atlangeriev and Aziz Pahrudinov.
He also aims to become the fourth Team Lakay fighter to snare a belt in what has been a successful year for the outfit.
Geje Eustaquio won the ONE flyweight championship back in June, Kevin Belingon became the ONE interim bantamweight champion in July, and most recently, Joshua Pacio took home the ONE strawweight championship in September.
This bout also comes with an added layer for Folayang, who is seeking to avenge his stablemate Honorio Banario's to Khan in Shanghai back in September.
