TWO-TIME ONE Lightweight World Champion Eduard Folayang returns to action this October as he fights Aussie contender Antonio Caruso at ONE: Inside The Matrix in Singapore.
ONE Championship chairman Chatri Sityodtong confirmed the news on Tuesday.
"I guess I’ll reveal one more fight on the card is Eduard Folayang versus Antonio Caruso from Australia," he said. "I can say that on October 30th a few Filipino fighters from Team Lakay will be competing."
This will mark the first fight of Folayang since he lost to Pieter Buist back in January.
The 35-year-old has been holed up in Baguio since the quarantine period, giving him ample time to prepare himself for war anew as he stakes his 22-9 record.
It hasn't been an easy journey for Folayang since he lost the belt to rival Shinya Aoki in March 2019 as he lost three of his last four bouts, including a first-round submission loss to Eddie Alvarez.

His only win in that stretch was against Mongolian foe Amarsanaa Tsogookhuu last November.
Caruso, on the other hand, is also reeling off a loss against Buist in October last year, the only blemish in his 7-1 record.
This match will be in the undercards of a loaded Singapore event, which will be the first ONE staging in the country since the global COVID-19 pandemic.
Four world titles will be up for grabs with Aung La N Sang defending his ONE Middleweight World Championship against Reinier de Ridder in the main event.
