EDUARD Folayang was awarded with a technical decision victory after suffering an accidental headbutt on Friday at ONE: Masters of Fate at Mall of Asia Arena.
The former two-time ONE Lightweight World Champion was left bloodied from a cut on his left cheekbone after Amarsanaa Tsogookhuu bumped heads with him in the second round.
Doctors halted the bout at the 2:29 mark of the round, with Folayang leading on the judges' scorecards.
That put an anti-climactic end to an otherwise intense bout between the two fighters, with Folayang and Tsogookhuu trading strikes in the first two rounds.
Folayang rose to a 22-8 win-loss record, while Tsogookhuu fell to 6-2.
