It’s been a while since Filipino fans witnessed a ONE Championship event live at Mall of Asia Arena.
Newly crowned ONE Interim Women’s Atomweight MMA World Champion Denice “The Menace” Zamboanga wants to change all that.
The 28-year-old hopes to have a unification bout against on-the-mend divisional queen Stamp Fairtex in the Philippines, when the fight happens.

Zamboanga competed in the last live event in the Philippines, beating Lin Heqin at ONE Fight Night 5 in December of 2022. That said, it’s been two years since ONE swung back around the Philippines’ way.
“That would be perfect. It will make the local fans happy, and I think Stamp and I have the capabilities to fill the arena with the interest alone in our fight,” she said.
“It’s a different feeling to compete in our own country. I’ve experienced that, and it’s truly one of a kind. It’s truly amazing.”
The fact that they’ve been on a collision course for years now makes this fight even more interesting for fans.
After missing each other in the ONE Women’s Atomweight MMA World Grand Prix, the two good friends were supposed to meet early last year. But an injury to Stamp put their World Title match on hold once more.
By becoming the interim queen, she knows that this match is inevitable, and she promises to be even better when they finally face off.
“I’m excited to face her, finally. I know this is what the fans want, I know this is something that they’ve been waiting for. This is a fight that should’ve happened a long time ago, and it’s something that people have been anticipating for a long time,” Zamboanga said.
“It will be a great fight. I promise to be even better, and I will showcase new skills for this fight.”
