Danny Kingad will get his wish to meet the division's bests as he puts himself in line for the big fights in the upcoming Flyweight Grand Prix.
The 23-year-old sensation turned back Tatsumitsu Wada at ONE: Hero's Ascent on Friday, earning his slot in the tournament.
And this early, he's excited for what's in store for him.
"In a tournament like this, paghahandaan ko talaga yung Grand Prix. I will go back to the gym, go back to training," said the beaming Igorot fighter.
Kingad couldn't help but gush over the possibilities that await him for the Grand Prix, where some of the best flyweights in the promotion are expected to join including new signing former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson.
Starstruck as he is, he knows that everything changes when warriors step inside the cage, and Kingad vowed to give it his all no matter who his next opponent will be.
"I thought for my next bout, nakita ko lahat yung mga sasali sa Grand Prix. Kung sino man sa kanila ang makalaban ko, I'm gonna be ready for that," he said.
