CARLO 'The Bull' Bumina-ang is ready for a swift return to the renowned Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, aiming to conclude his year on a high note.

The emerging talent from Team Lakay seeks his third consecutive victory in ONE Championship against Ilyas Dursun in a bantamweight MMA clash at ONE Friday Fights 44 in Bangkok, Thailand on December 8.

In his recent outing last October, Bumina-ang outfought Denis Andreev via split decision.

Now, with the opportunity to strengthen his case for a coveted main-roster US$100,000 contract, he eagerly anticipates stepping back into the arena.

Bumina-ang is satisfied with his progress.

"After my second fight, a month later I’m competing, so I’m happy. But my focus remains on my training; my eyes remain on the goal. I just have to make sure that I’m ready each time I compete," he said.

Recognizing the potential challenges on the ground, he has intensified his efforts to refine his footwork and striking abilities.

“We worked on our footwork. We’re always cautious about it because I think in terms of damage and striking, that will be my advantage in this fight,” B umina-ang said.

Bumina-ang believes that his advantage lies in his striking prowess and aims to capitalize on it in the upcoming bout.

He, however, noted Dursun's proficiency on the ground and stressed the need to work hard on his ground skills during practice sessions.

While acknowledging that there are no excuses from his previous fight, Bumina-ang is confident in his improvement for the upcoming match.

Despite having a striking advantage, he remains cautious and disciplined, having learned valuable lessons from his previous three-round war against Andreev.

Drawing from past experiences, Bumina-ang emphasized the importance of maintaining focus and not rushing for a finish. He aims to secure a victory naturally, whether through a decisive knockout or submission.

The lessons learned from previous fights have instilled in him the wisdom to seek the optimal way to finish the bout without compromising his concentration.
