BRITISH mixed martial arts fights will be shown in the Philippines on KIX Channel starting next week.
The action entertainment channel will be the home of the British Association of Mixed Martial Arts (BAMMA) in the country. Bouts will be shown Mondays at 10 p.m. starting on Feb. 10 on Skycable 63, Globe Destiny 10 and Cablelink 55.
The British MMA outfit premiered in London in 2009 and its most recent event was BAMMA14 in December, with Mansour “Tarzan” Barnaoui defeating Colin “Freakshow” Fletcher with a rear naked choke in the first round to win the lightweight crown.
The event was also highlighted by Paul “Semtex” Daley’s second-round knockout win over Romario Manoel “Jr. Killer” da Silva.
KIX, owned by Celestial Tiger Entertainment, also airs action movies, other combat sports and reality shows.
