    Fitness enthusiasts have a field day as major gym chains gather for Fit Con at Circuit Makati

    FITNESS enthusiasts braved the summer heat to “Up Their Game” in the first ever Milo Nutri Up Fit Con at Circuit Makati on Saturday.

    It was a huge gathering of top fitness organizations, including big gym chains like Fitness First, Gold’s Gym to yoga studios.    

    Participants had a whole day of non-stop fitness activities such as CrossFit, HIIT, Yoga, Triathlon, Zumba and Pilates.

    Every part of the Globe Circuit Events Grounds was buzzing with activity. Ninja Academy instructors were teaching parkour techniques. Athletes were engaged in intense rounds of the Workout of the Day at Reebok CrossFit. And there were takers of all ages and genders for Under Armour’s challenging eight-drill blitz.    

    Pop-up tents from partner brands such as Under Armour, Skechers Performance, and Umbro also offered special discounts and freebies. Others hosted fitness talks from expert speakers, competitions, and even  a workout party headlined by DJ Ace Ramos.

    Celebrity siblings Solenn and Erwan Heussaff were also present at the Fit Con. Solenn managed a yoga class while Erwan led a CrossFit session.

    Saturday’s event had activities that catered to fitness enthusiasts of all levels. Beginners learned basic running techniques to elite athletes taking part in Under Armour’s Test of Will challenge.  

    Nicky Lebrado-del Gallego, consumer marketing manager for Milo Nutri Up, said their new product is essentially a “Milo for grown ups” that is formulated for adults' needs and palates.

    “We chose them as our brand ambassadors because even though they may not be the typical hardcore athletes or the champions that you know of Milo but they are grown-ups who did up their game by defying their limits and living a healthy and active lifestyle. They’re fit-spirations for grown-ups everywhere,” said Lebrado-del Gallego.

    Robbie de Vera, Milo sports executive, said it was always a role of Milo to promote an active community.

    "For the first time we are doing it for the adult fitness community. We have all of the biggest fitness brands here- Gold’s Gym, Fitness First and almost all of the CrossFit boxes are present here. We have four Yoga studios," he said.

    "The whole point is to give adults opportunities to lead them to jumpstart their active lifestyle," de Vera added.
