ADRENALINE junkies and daredevil adventurers with a penchant for taking jaw-dropping images of their exploits will surely get a kick with HERO4 which GoPro unveiled on Tuesday for the Philippine market.
The official launch of “the ultimate GoPro” was held at the Republ1c Wakepark in Calamba, Laguna before invited athletes, photography buffs and the media who got a chance to check out the devices first-hand.
Cohen Summers, training specialist from GoPro International, delivered a short presentation that highlighted the HERO4’s features and improvements as well as some tips on how to make it easier for users to capture and share professional quality content of their favorite activities.
The HERO4 is available in two editions, the HERO4 Black (P25,990) and HERO4 Silver (P20,990). GoPro exclusive Philippine distributors are Dan’s (Adventure and Lifestyle Channels) and Moduvi (Consumer Electronics Channels).
The performance-driven HERO4 Black delivers twice the performance of its best-selling predecessor, the HERO3+, and now captures cinema-quality 4K video at 30 frames per second (fps), 2.7K video at 50fps and 1080p video at an impressive 120fps, while allowing for slow motion effects.
The updated device also features an entirely redesigned audio system that captures high fidelity sound with twice the dynamic range of previous models. Additional enhancements include improved image quality, low light performance, highlight moment tagging and an improved user interface that allows for easier discoverability and access to key features and controls.
For those with a smaller budget, there is the entry-level GoPro HERO (P7,990). Simplified and built directly into a rugged, waterproof housing, the HERO captures 1080p video at 30fps and 720p video at 60fps.
