HyperSports, the event organizer behind the successful Get Fit Run 2012 at the Quirino Grandstand last month, is set to bring its act to the south as it prepares for the GenSan leg of this fun-filled event which will coincide with the city's 14th Tuna Festival.
The Get Fit Run – GenSan Tuna Festival will be held at the newly opened SM City General Santos on September 2 and it will feature five road racing events: 2K (for kids 12 years old and below), 3K, 5K, 10K and the 21K half marathon.
Assembly time is 4:15 a.m.
Held in partnership with the General Santos City Police Office as part of its Takbo GenSan Series, this run is carrying an advocacy of a healthy lifestyle & crime-free festivities. The official beneficiary of the event will be Bantay Bata 163.
IPICO Timing system, a system that is being used internationally, most recently in the London 2012 Olympics marathon event, will also be utilized for this event, making the results automated and accurate.
