    Four exercises to keep women healthy and sexy while preggy

    WOMEN on the verge of motherhood will find that it is one of the most exciting roles she could play. The experience can be challenging but very rewarding and opens up a deeper meaning of love and devotion. The experience is not a walk in the park though, and a woman's body changes immensely during the nine months of pregnancy.

    It’s unbelievable how a little cargo can sap a woman's energy, but regular exercise not only helps a mom-to-be get through the day but also provides numerous benefits: it improves sleep, reduces pregnancy pains, reduces risks of gestational diabetes and preeclampsia, plus it helps maintain physique. Women who are going to their next prenatal check should talk to their obstetrician on how these simple pregnant-friendly exercises can help in the journey of being a fit and fab mom:

    1. Swimming 

    As an unborn baby enjoys in the special bag of water inside a mommy's belly, women should too. Swimming is hailed as the best form of exercise even for pregnant women2. It is ideal because it exercises both major muscle groups - the legs and arms. It also provides cardiovascular benefit to both the mother and her baby. This exercise is not strenuous, as it allows an expectant woman to feel weightless as she enjoys the coolness of water.

    2. Dancing with a preggy belly?

    Women from all parts of the world love this specialized workout. Antenatal yoga allows women the flexibility they will need for childbirth. It also helps to keep a mother supple, which is very important in her adaptability to her growing belly. Plus it’s a routine women can definitely enjoy with their girlfriends.

    4. Preggy Walks?

    Walking is the most popular exercise for expectant mothers. Not only is it safe and easy, walking is also therapeutic as it relaxes the mind especially when the pregnancy mumbo jumbo is starting to weigh on expectant mothers.
