WITH his relentless energy and scoring prowess, CJ Perez has emerged as one of the best collegiate players today especially after leading Lyceum’s unbeaten run to the NCAA Season 93 finals.
The Pirates may have fallen short in the NCAA finals but it’s undeniable that Perez is becoming a household name in Philippine basketball. For proof, he’s drawing a crowd each time Zark’s Burger-Lyceum has a game in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup.
The D-League fan favorite, however, is as prepared for the attention he attracts from the defense on the court as he is to the group of fans waiting for him after every game.
The 6-foot-2 Perez is bringing more or less the same essentials an athlete carries with him during games in his bag, but there's one he finds most important apart from shoes and jerseys.
"Perfume," he said with a laugh. "Kailangan mabango para pag may nagpa-picture, di ba?"
