Ateneo setter Deanna Wong is more than just an amazing athlete. From her other passions to personal quirks, there's definitely more than meets the eye when it comes to this Blue Eagle. And just like her jersey number, here are three fun facts you need to know about Deanna.
1. She plays the drums
Aside from volleyball she’s also good at music, which she got from her dad.
“My dad’s a musician and as a family, we’re really into music. But then kasi he sings, but I don’t have the voice so instruments na lang,” she says.
“Bata pa ako we took classes, me drums, and my ate she’s into piano,” she adds.
2. Basketball is her first love
Before she got into the Ateneo women’s volleyball team, she dreamt of making it to the women’s basketball team.
“Basketball talaga ako kaya lang kasi sa Cebu, walang basketball na girls eh,” she says.
3. She pees a lot
It’s not because of jitters or too much energy drinks, but Wong usually goes to the restroom to pee. She explains that she can feel the need to pee even if she just peed a minute ago.
“That’s why I’m always late kapag tinatawag na sa game,” she says.
