JOJOALIER Cho has seen two tragedies hit his two careers.
The first was the fire that gutted Star City in October of 2019. He had been working there as a magician.
And then there was the pandemic that struck the globe in March of this year. By then, he was making his living as both a magician who performed in birthday parties and other events and a rider for delivery app Angkas. With the global pandemic forcing lockdowns, he could no longer do any of his jobs.
And even when lockdowns eased, he found that his gigs in Angkas were no longer as plentiful as they once were before the lockdown.
So he thought of combining his two jobs into one.
Now, Cho specializes as an Angkas rider whose deliveries come with a treat: a magic trick.
His deliveries have now gone viral, to the point that some people text him to perform magic tricks alone.
“Natawa lang din ako sa isip ko,” he said in an interview with the Summit Media Network, “balewala pala ang in-order nila. Ang gusto lang, makarating ako sa bahay nila at makapag-magic sa kanila.”
