CONSIDERING how the 'Skywalker' touched thousands of lives as a basketball icon, his family is now welcoming his fans to his wake.
Samboy Lim's family has opened to the public the first day of his wake on Tuesday which will be held at the chapel of Letran, a school which the basketball great led to a hat-trick of NCAA championships from 1983.

Lim died last December 23, 2023, after nine years in a coma.
"Please join us in celebrating the life of our beloved Skywalker, Samboy," the invitation posted by Samboy Lim's daughter, national karaketa Jamie, wrote.

Apart from a gallery of photos shared by the karateka to pay tribute to her father, she also shared an invitation announcing the public viewing of Samboy's remains.
Samboy's remains will be brought to his beloved alma mater, Colegio de San Juan de Letran, on December 26, Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Masses will also be celebrated from 11 a.m. and 6 p.m..
From Letran, Samboy's remains will be brought to the Arlington Memorial Chapels in Quezon City. Inurnment will be on Dec. 29.
Eulogy submissions accepted
The invitation also indicated that they're accepting eulogy submissions from fans.
"Those who wish to share a message about how Samboy has touched their life, kindly send to Viber # 0999825135 or hand over a printed note to Sam's family. Our family will cherish your messages of love."
On Christmas Day, the PBA honored one of the members of its 25 Greatest Players list with a final buzzer and a standing ovation from its fans at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
