UNIVERSITY of Kansas guard Remy Martin proudly wore the PH flag on his back as he posed with the NCAA trophy.
Martin — who obliged for 14 points, three rebounds, and one assist, steal, and block apiece — was a powerhouse for the Jayhawks during their title win against North Carolina, 72-69, yesterday (Manila time).
Now a senior, it is both his first and final year for Kansas after a transfer from Arizona State.
Martin and the Jayhawks captured KU's only second national title in history, after their 2008 conquest.
Remy Martin relishes big victory
"This is bigger than me," the Filipino-American standout wrote in the caption of his post with a Philippine flag emoji.
The 23-year-old California-native holds a dual citizenship, which makes him eligible to play for the Gilas Pilipinas national team in certain competitions.
