PH sports lawyer Mickey Ingles named to IPF Court of Justice

FILIPINO sports lawyer and SPIN.ph columnist Ignatius Michael ‘Mickey’ Ingles, a respected figure in the local sports scene, was appointed by the International Powerlifting Federation to its Court of Justice.

Ingles of Ingles Laurel & Calderon Law Firm was the lone Filipino in the group led by chairman Richard Parker. Other members are Pavol Muller, Gennadiy Khodosevich, Vicky Taylor-Hood, Tzari Saunders, Audrey Baillairge, Candelaria Moirano, Jonas Gurtler, and Marc Medas.

Ingles hits the ground running

The Ateneo de Manila University professor is tasked with investigating cases and disciplinary issues within the international federation. His role also includes conducting hearings and imposing necessary sanctions such as fines, suspensions, or bans.

Ingles shared that he started the job immediately after his appointment in August and is now actively handling several projects and cases.
