HE’S a 53-year-old tricycle driver. She’s a 22-year-old Sangguniang Kabataan chairperson.
And together, their dance videos are taking Tiktok by storm.
To be fair, busting the moves isn’t new to Fernando Capulong Jr., who was a dancer and choreographer in his past life. His past dance group even had ambitions to make it big in Japan.
But it was only recently that his moves got a brand new lease in life, when his daughter Nikki caught him dancing a jig with a broom while he was doing some chores in their home in Hagonoy, Bulacan.
“Inulit ko po yung tugtog,” said Nikki, “pero hindi niya alam na bini-video ko na siya.”
She uploaded the video on her own channel in Tiktok.
“Ang dami pong natuwa,” Nikki said.
When commenters asked for a new collaboration, Capulong Jr. reluctantly agreed. It was a hit. As Nikki related: “Na-reach po namin ang one million views.”
Together, dad and daughter are ruling the Tiktok feed as “Jun and Nikki.”
“Marami nang tao ang natutuwa,” said Fernando, who was hesistant at first. “Sige kako, tuloy natin. Para mas lalong marami pang matuwa sa amin.”
